Law and order are back in Boston thanks to ICE. Here’s a look at how the Daily Wire covered the shocking raid
In recent years, Boston, a city known for its strong American roots and patriotic history, has fallen into the same trap as many other places run by progressives: sanctuary policies that put “inclusion” politics ahead of law and order. Under the guise of “compassion,” Boston officials have made the city a safe haven for both immigrants looking for a better life and hardened crooks taking advantage of the system’s flaws. We knew what would happen: crime rates would go up, people would feel less safe, and people who shouldn’t have been in the country would attack neighborhoods.
Even though things look bad, brave people from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) keep putting their lives at risk every day to make sure law-abiding Americans feel safe and fair. Kassy Akiva, a reporter for The Daily Wire, recently went on a string of high-stakes deportation raids around Boston with ICE officers and Acting Director Todd Lyons. Not only did she see criminals being caught, but she also saw a larger attack on liberal policies that encourage crime in the name of tolerance.
Predators Among Us: The Sad Price of Sanctuary Cities
As the sun came up in the suburbs of Boston early in the morning, ICE agents were already moving around. Their first target was an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who had been convicted of sex crimes and had abused a child, who was the harmless one among us. While being led to jail, the predator was shackled at the wrists and legs. It was another dangerous but important job for the spies. It meant that the neighborhood had one less threat waiting in the dark.
This arrest is a scary warning of the people who really suffer from sanctuary policies: those who are weak and can’t speak up for themselves. Sanctuary cities and towns knowingly let dangerous criminals back into the community by refusing to work with federal immigration officials. These are not just theoretical policy talks; these are real-life effects, like children being raped, families being destroyed, and lives being shattered.
This group of crooks is “the worst of the worst,” as Acting Director Todd Lyons put it. Even so, liberal leaders in places like Boston would rather put everyone’s safety at risk than upset progressives.
Fighting Uphill: ICE’s Struggles in a Dangerous Setting
It’s like fighting with one hand tied behind your back when you work in a safe city. Leftist politicians and activist groups put a lot of pressure on local jails and police departments to not obey ICE detainers. When illegal immigrants are caught for violent crimes, they are often quietly let out into public without telling the federal government.
Todd Lyons said, “Most jurisdictions will notify us, but won’t give us enough time to get there.” This is a frustrating truth. ICE has a hard time catching these dangerous people before they get back into the community because they don’t have enough staff or tools.
It’s important to see that sanctuary policies are a moral deception at their core. The immigrant community is not being protected by local leaders; they are putting it at risk. Lyons said that predators often go after migrant groups that have fled crime and corruption in search of a better life. Refuge rules keep the wolves away from the herders who are supposed to protect the sheep.
Getting the Rule of Law back in President Trump’s America
The raids that The Daily Wire wrote about happened during President Trump’s first 100 days in office, a time when immigration police policy changed in a big way. ICE agents did not have to work in secret or say sorry for doing their jobs under the Trump government. The Commander-in-Chief fully backed them, and the government was determined to put the safety of American people first.
Todd Lyons pointed out the big change in how people felt about their jobs. The Trump White House stood firmly behind law enforcement, unlike earlier administrations that made ICE agents look bad and put limits on their work. There was free flow of resources, better coordination with other government agencies like the FBI and DEA, and officers felt like they had the power to go after criminals without any political interference.
The Americans as a whole were given more confidence, not just the spies. When people got tired of the media’s lies about illegal immigrants being harmless “dreamers,” they realized that guarding the country’s borders wasn’t an act of hate, but of love for family, community, and country.
Heroes, not bad guys, are what ICE is really like
Progressive lawmakers and left-leaning media have done everything they can to make ICE look bad, portraying its agents as jackbooted thugs who break up families and scare innocent people. The truth is very different. Akiva’s reporting shows that ICE workers are only interested in getting rid of people who are a real threat to public safety.
ICE nabbed both the convicted child molester and a person involved in a hit-and-run accident that hurt someone during the operation. These are not small crimes. There are real people who are hurt by these acts.
In addition, when ICE officials came across more illegal immigrants while on the job, they did not turn a blind eye. It is their job to make sure that the law is followed regularly and fairly. This is something that should be praised, not criticized.
Liberal Hypocrisy: The Elite Protect Theirselves While Putting Other People In Danger
People who support sanctuary cities are often caught in a web of lies. Rich liberal leaders who support open borders and not working with ICE rarely have to deal with the results of their actions. They live in neighborhoods with gates, send their kids to private schools, and have their own security staff.
At the same time, working-class Americans—many of whom are legal immigrants—have to deal with more crime and less safety in public places. Having sanctuary policies is not a sign of kindness; it is betrayal of the people the government is meant to protect.
This difference in standards is especially clear in progressive centers like Boston, where virtue signaling has taken the place of responsible government.
Myths About ICE: Busting the False Story
People who support open borders lie on purpose when they say that ICE raids are random sweeps that tear families apart. In fact, ICE operations are precise and focused on people who have committed serious crimes or have been legally ordered to leave the country by immigration judges.
ICE agents don’t normally go into schools, hospitals, churches, or other public places and search them. These are lies that are meant to spread fear and anger. The office has to follow strict rules that make sure everyone is safe while also protecting people’s rights and community institutions.
The Daily Wire’s reports from the scene makes this point very clear. People who were arrested were dangerous, not harmless people caught in bureaucratic nets.
Why immigration enforcement is important for America’s future
There is a fight over the future of America itself in the fight over immigration law. If a country can’t keep its borders under control, it can’t protect its people, keep its culture alive, or keep its independence.
Every crime committed by an illegal immigrant after being freed by a sanctuary state is a tragedy that could have been avoided. Laws need to be followed if they are to mean anything. Every life lost, every child hurt, and every community shaken is a stark warning of this.
The fact that President Trump promised to enforce immigration laws again wasn’t mean; it was a sacred job to protect the American people.
A Hard Choice: Law and Order or Chaos
The decision the American people have to make is very clear, as shown by what happened in Boston. Would we like to live in a country with the rule of law, where crimes are punished and communities are safe? Or do we want to live in a country where “compassion” is more important than public safety and dangerous criminals are free to do what they want?
It is not only wrong for the left to want open borders and sanctuary policies, it is also very dangerous. It puts ideological purity ahead of the health and happiness of regular Americans.
It is important for conservatives, Republicans, and all Americans to keep fighting this crazy stuff. We need to stand with the brave ICE agents who risk their lives every day. We need to make sure that local governments work with federal police. Also, let’s remember that real kindness means keeping the innocent safe, not giving the guilty a free pass.
Standing with the people who keep us safe
The Daily Wire’s coverage of the Boston raid gives a powerful and depressing look into the front lines of America’s fight to restore law and order. It helps us remember that the fight is hard, but it’s not impossible.
Conservatives are leading the way to take back our cities, our borders, and our national character. They do this with courage, resolve, and a strong commitment to the truth. We back ICE. We take a stand with the police. We also stand with every American who thinks that protecting safety, justice, and pride are important things to do.
It won’t be easy going forward. The left will keep spreading lies, getting in the way, and sabotaging. We can and will win, though, if we stay together, speak out, and stay determined.
Because we value America.

ICE Agents ‘Bring Hell’ To Boston With The Daily Wire
Transcripts:
(00:00) Right now we’re on the scene with ICE and they have just arrested a sex offender. He is now going into a car. He is chained by his ankles and his hands. He is an El Salvadorian national. It’s sick. It’s the worst crime in the world when you sexually assault a child. I mean the most innocent of us all.
(00:19) That’s why I made a statement that one time I was going to go to Boston and bring hell with me and the media went crazy. At the time, home and safety was’re going to Boston bring hell with them. For years you guys are the premier ones that are leading the country with these high-profile arrests.
(00:32) This is what the administration wants, this is what the American people voted for. Okay so it’s 5 20 in the morning we’re here in the suburbs of Boston meeting up with ICE. We’re going to be on a raid today with them. They say that there are some criminal with ICE. We’re going to be on a raid today with them. They say that there are some criminal illegal immigrants that we’re going to be arresting and surveilling, so it’s going to be interesting and we’ll see what happens.
(01:01) I’m Todd Lyons. I’m the acting director for ICE. And what are we doing here today? So today we’re out here, the Boston field office have a bunch of high profile targets, the worst of the worst that are out here in Massachusetts. Either they were released by a sanctuary jurisdiction who did not honor an ICE detainer or they’re wanted on some type of immigration violation here in the United States.
(01:22) Can you talk about how it’s difficult operating in a sanctuary jurisdiction? These are actual public safety threats, right? A jail, a police department, a sheriff’s department, state police have deemed these individuals a public safety threat and locked them up. Yet instead of working with the federal government, they decide to release them back on the street.
(01:39) So let me be clear. Say somebody gets arrested for something and they’re in jail for a local police and they’re going to release them. Do they tell you? Do they call you and tell you before? Most jurisdictions will notify us, but won’t give us enough time to get there. ICE here in Massachusetts has a pretty small footprint.
(01:55) They don’t have a lot of officers and agents, so they have to take time to respond out there. But jurisdictions need to work with us and he’s in his over car. Minivan is back. Got another male with a lunchbox. This is a thing walking up to the house. But jurisdictions need to work with us to give us that time to get there.
(02:10) If they don’t give us the time, that individual’s going to get re-released. If they’re re-released, they go back into the community, usually to harm the migrant community that have fled the type of crimes for a better life. Yet these predators go back and prey upon the immigrant community because sanctuary jurisdictions, you know, strike fear that ICE is going to be out breaking our families, going to schools, going to churches, which is the farthest thing from the truth.
(02:40) So we’re about to hit President Trump’s first 100 days, which immigration has been a big focus. So tell me what’s happened in the first 100 days. First 100 days has been a total shift back to ICE out doing their job, right? Actually out doing the law enforcement mission, protecting communities. You’ve seen a large surge of a whole government approach.
(02:58) You have all of the whole entire ICE portfolio between enforcement removal operations, homeland security investigations. portfolio between enforcement removal operations, Homeland Security investigations, that are now paired up with the FBI, DEA, Diplomatic Security Service, right? So you have this whole government approach tackling to find all these worst of the worst, plus all these individuals that are here in the United States that have been previously deported or ordered removed lawfully by an
(03:21) immigration judge. The first hundred days, we did more arrests than the previous state administration did last year. And I think when you look at those and you see those serious cases that we’re out there getting, it shows that this administration is serious about public safety and making America safe again.
(03:41) How are things different under the Trump administration than it was before? I was talking to some agents and I heard the terminology is different. How much resources you have from other agencies is different. So what’s different? You know, I think one of the things is the feeling that officers and agents have the support of leadership, right? You have the president that’s out there really supportive of the mission, giving us all the resources we can.
(04:05) You have Secretary Noem that’s out there side by side with officers and agents going on raids, seeing how we actually do things. We actually feel the backing to get out there and do our job. We also have the backing of the American public, though. The big thing for us is morale has increased because we have that leadership backing that we never had before.
(04:22) Right. We just finished a multi-hour day with ICE. We made two arrests. The first one was a convicted pedophile. The second one was somebody who did a hit and run and injured somebody. They also had a third arrest which was supposed to be intended for a specific target but once they got the van they ended up arresting two other people who were not the targets but were illegal aliens in the country and were subject to being deported.
(04:47) So, successful day. The director, this is actually his first time being on a raid since becoming the acting director about a month ago. He had a lot to say about the first 100 days.
